September 5, 2025 – REMA TIP TOP acquires significant assets and operations of the Canadian Almex Group. With the acquisition, the company expands its portfolio in the area of conveyor belt vulcanizing systems and herewith strengthens its position as the world’s leading provider of integrated conveying solutions.

REMA TIP TOP to acquire The Almex Group

July 22, 2025 – REMA TIP TOP, a global leader in conveying, surface protection and motion solutions, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Almex Group. The transaction has received court approval in the Almex Group’s restructuring proceedings under Canada’s Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and is expected to be completed in August 2025.

Founded in 1974, TRIB promotes and defends the tire retread and repair industries worldwide, educating fleets, government agencies, and the public on the economic and environmental benefits of retreading and proper tire repair.

Established in 1921, TIA is an international nonprofit representing all segments of the tire industry. TIA promotes tire safety through technician training and certification and serves as the industry’s principal advocate in government affairs.

NIBA fosters collaboration between distributors, fabricators, and manufacturers of conveyor and power transmission belting to advance industry education, technology, and business practices worldwide.
