Job Summary

The position is responsible for mixing materials, maintaining, controlling and operating machines and equipment that are used in the manufacturing process.

Position Type

Full-Time Non-Exempt. 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week / Monday – Friday. Overtime available when business needs dictate.

  • Operating high speed sophisticated machines by managing settings and conducting tests to ensure a successful operation in the production process.
  • Selecting specific raw materials for production; measure, mix and pour ingredients; ensuring a good combination of these materials so that they are consistent with the recipe.
  • Monitors all activities going on at the work site, records them for accuracy, clarification, and verification, and reports to the supervisor.
  • Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
  • Arrange machine at the beginning of work procedures to ensure that everything is in order.
  • Test the machine before main work begins to be sure that it’s in good condition for production.
  • Load raw materials and insert all production materials in the various parts of the machine where they are supposed to be to enhance production output.
  • Ensure that machines are calibrated and recalibrated before and after production procedures.
  • Report to supervisor(s) regularly, keeping them updated on production activities and progress.
  • Ensure all hazardous and non-hazardous product waste is properly labeled and stored.
  • Meet all production standards; perform work in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Work in a safe manner adhering to all established safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Accurately complete work order paperwork on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met.
  • Follow all outlined processing specifications, understanding and achieving all quality requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
  • Clean work area at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Regular attendance according to schedule.
  • Follow all Company policy and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
